2nd Consortium Meeting and General Assembly

On the 12th and 13th March, the partners of the Buddie-Pack project have met in AIMPLAS facilities in Valencia (Spain) for their annual consortium meeting and the general assembly.

They have spent a high productive time together updating each partner, about the progress of all work packages and presenting the achievements after 18 months of implementation. It was an excellent opportunity to find common solutions on activities involving several actors, one depending on the outcome of the other. They could create new synergies on the search of solutions for material development, process optimization, financial viability, risk and impact assessment or reuse measurement for instance.

The second day was more particularly dedicated to use cases. The experts involved have been able to show their interim results and to decide about the next steps to test the RPP designs and materials, washing process, business models, consumer acceptance & safety control at large scale,​ for the following applications:

- Semi-rigid skin pack for meat distribution

- Semi-rigid catering trays at schools and nursing homes

- Pre-packed food in supermarkets

- Catering trays for takeaway food consumption

- Refill & reusable packaging ​for detergents
